St. Regis Downtown Dubai welcomes first guests

The St. Regis Downtown, Dubai has opened along the Dubai Water Canal.

The property is located close to the city’s attractions and The Dubai Mall and is a short drive from the city’s design hub, Dubai Design District, and the International Financial Centre.

The property features 298 guest rooms and suites overlooking local landmarks such as the Dubai Water Canal and the Burj Khalifa. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, large bathrooms, walk-in wardrobes, coral-inspired wall sculptures and butler service.

Food and beverage options include Italian restaurant Basta!; Bleu Blanc Oysters & Grill, inspired by the ‘convivial’ atmosphere of the South of France; The Library for afternoon tea; and the St. Regis Bar.

Other facilities include a six-treatment-room spa, complete with a flotation pod, hammam and 24-karat gold facial; a fitness centre and infinity pool overlooking the Dubai Water Canal.

In March 2022, the hotel will add an Astor Ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, an outdoor terrace and bar space, lounge seating and an open fireplace.

“Dubai’s downtown district is a sought-after destination for global travellers and showcases the Emirate’s innovative vision, making it an ideal location for the St. Regis brand’s avant-garde style and highly personalised service,” said Candice D’Cruz, vice president of Luxury Brands for Europe, Middle East & Africa at Marriott International.

“This opening is an exquisite addition to our illustrious portfolio of luxury properties in the region and perfectly unites the spirit of the city with the timeless glamour of St. Regis.”

Raja Zeidan, general manager of The St. Regis Downtown Dubai, added: “We are looking forward to offering guests exquisite experiences that are steeped in history along with the brand’s iconic anticipatory service, which is purposefully tailored for each one of our global tastemakers.

“The St. Regis Downtown, Dubai will provide a distinct point of view on luxury hospitality in one of the city’s most exclusive districts, and will offer global luminaries the chance to enjoy the cherished hallmarks of the St. Regis brand.”
