Silversea Cruises unveils 2024-25 collection

Silversea Cruises has unveiled its 2024-25 collection, bringing the total number of destinations in the line’s portfolio to more than 900.

The line’s latest collection comprises 341 new sailings in 120 countries between March 2024 and May 2025, which it said will “unlock” 695 destinations to create the largest offering in its history.

The collection, which will feature 25 maiden calls, includes the inaugural season of Silver Ray, which will debut in May 2024, taking the total number of ships in the fleet to 11.

Silver Ray will begin the season in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, with voyages ranging from seven to 12 days. In December the ship will cross the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale to begin Caribbean and Central America sailings, departing back to Europe in April 2025.

Six of the line’s ships – Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Dawn, Silver Muse, Silver Whisper and Silver Spirit – will complete Africa and Indian Ocean sailings, visiting 60 destinations in 23 countries.

Silver Cloud, Silver Shadow and Silver Moon will take 13 voyages to 59 destinations in the South Pacific Islands, including Hawaii and French Polynesia, and Silver Wind, Silver Spirit and Silver Dawn will take 31 sailings to 19 countries in Northern Europe.

The line has extended its Mediterranean season, which will run from March until December, 2024, calling at 111 destinations in 20 countries, and expanded its Alaskan sailing variety to give guests more time in ports.

The collection also includes new summer sailings in Canada and New England, eight sailings to the Arctic and Greenland with a 24-day crossing of the Northwest Passage, 21 departures for Antarctica, and 25 departures for Australia and New Zealand.

Silversea unveiled the collection with an online fashion show.

Roberto Martinoli, Silversea Cruises president and chief executive, said: “Our new voyage collection for summer 2024 and winter 2024/25 reflects our guests’ desire for new and unique experiences in the most iconic and remote destinations around the world.

“Our new collection features 11 ships in our fleet, including Silver Ray, the second ship in our Nova class, with an increase in capacity of 56% by 2024 when compared to 2020. This will enable our guests to enjoy unprecedented choice in terms of ships and voyage options.

“Not only will these 341 new sailings immerse travellers deep into each destination, enabling even the most experienced travellers to discover lesser-visited destinations or venture off-season to rediscover the world from a new perspective, but they will also further expand Silversea’s global reach.”
