Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is set to make its debut in the Caribbean next May with the opening of Six Senses La Sagesse in Grenada.
The resort on the south side of the island features 56 pool suites, all of which offer open-plan bedrooms and an outdoor terrace leading to a private plunge pool. There are also 15 villas in prime hillside or beachfront settings, ranging from one, two and four bedrooms.
Signature restaurant SeaFire features a raw bar and wood fire grill and serves up communal plates designed for sharing.
Guests can also choose from all-day dining restaurant Callaloo, which offers farm-to-table dining with the chef’s interpretation of classic comfort food; the poolside Panquai Breeze Bar, which centres around churrascol, the South-American tradition of cooking meat on long skewers over a fire; and the Scoop café, where complimentary shaved ice or freshly made ice cream is served.
The Six Senses Spa overlooks the lagoon and is set over two floors. The upper floor has a state-of-the-art gym and a yoga pavilion and features a separate entrance for 24-hour access.
The lower floor houses a collection of single treatment rooms, a hammam, and two suites for couples, each with a private relaxation space and one with an Alchemy Bar.
The spa menu includes sleep-tracking, biohacking and a range of three to seven-night personalised programmes. Outside, guests will find a communal wet area with a panoramic sauna, hot pool, cold plunge pool and Kneipp therapy pool.
Like other Six Senses resorts, the Grenada outpost will be committed to sustainability. The property will manage its energy and waste, conserve water and support community-driven projects. The resort is also planting 3,000 trees and bushes as well as new mangroves along the lagoon, which is a lively habitat for many species of birds, fish and other animals.
The resort’s Experience Centre can organise a variety of excursions and experiences from the hotel, such as exploring the capital of Saint George’s and Grand Etang National Park.
Six Senses La Sagesse is 35 minutes by car from Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport, which is served by year-round flights from the United Kingdom, North America, Canada and Europe.
Rates at the resort start from £788 per night for two on a B&B basis.
