Kerzner’s wellness brand makes debut in Dubai

Kerzner International’s new wellness hospitality brand, SIRO, opened its inaugural property in Dubai’s One Za’abeel development earlier this month.

The brand says its concept combines “transformative wellness experiences, an integrated digital strategy and personalised guidance from wellness experts” to help guests “unlock their peak mental and physical potential.”

The move is said to be in response to “increasing demand for high-quality fitness” and improved facilities.

Siro One Za’abeel features six Fitness Suites which house mini private gyms and six Recovery Suites which have a therapy bed for in-room treatments.

Every room is designed to aid “relaxation and mindfulness” with panoramic views of the city skyline, wake-up technology and thermos-regulating mattresses. Each is equipped with exercise recovery tools such as stretch bands, a meditation cushion and stretch ladder.

As part of their wellness experience, guests receive a body composition analysis which helps design a personalised fitness and recovery programme focused on five core biohacking pillars: nutrition, fitness, sleep, recovery and mindfulness.

The property features a Fitness Lab which has four specialised studios including the Experience, Cycling Studio, Yoga Studio and Pilates Reform which collectively host 50 classes each week such as high intensity interval training, group cycling and boxing sessions.

Guests can also take part in off-site activities such as desert bike rides, mountain treks, dune buggy trips, indoor diving and golf sessions in collaboration with Siro One Za’abeel partners.

The property also features a Recovery Lab for mindfulness practices, holistic classes and advanced treatments.

Specialised rooms offer medical therapies such as IV infusions, red light therapy, sound and vibration therapy and cryotherapy to aid recovery.

Separate male and female-only zones have infrared saunas, steam rooms, cold plunge pools and zen spaces.

The brand also focuses on nutrition by allowing guests to build personalised meal plans with the in-house nutritionist which are available for 24-hour in-room dining.

Chief executive of Kerzner International, Philippe Zuber, said: “Prioritising fitness, recovery and self-care has become a way of life for many and has evolved into pillar facet of modern life.

“Siro is our direct response to this new normal. It’s our incubator concept, a merging of science and innovation to create a space that not only positively blurs the lines of wellness and hospitality but also brings together a community of like-minded individuals who want to enjoy the benefits of fitness while future-proofing their health.”

The brand’s second property, Siro Boka Place is set to open in Montenegro in 2024
