Four Seasons to open wellness retreat in Hawaii

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is to launch an all-inclusive wellness retreat on the island of Lanai in Hawaii.

The hotel group has partnered with wellbeing company Sensei to develop Four Seasons Hotel Lanai at Koele, A Sensei Retreat, which is scheduled to open on November 1.

The 96-key property will focus exclusively on wellness retreats and offer a comprehensive programme tailored to individual needs with the help of wellness experts, nutritionists, chefs, fitness experts and spa therapists.

Upon booking their retreat, each guest will be matched with their own Sensei Guide, who will help customise their itinerary based on their goals and needs.

Activities range from one-on-one training sessions and group classes to lectures, immersive spa treatments and island excursions.

Facilities at the resort include a 24-hour fitness complex, a yoga pavilion and outdoor yoga spaces, an outdoor pool with lap lanes, an 18-hole short golf course and an adventure park with ziplines and rope challenge courses.

Guests will be able to dine at new restaurant Sensei by Nobu, which features menus designed by world-renowned Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa and ingredients harvested from Sensei’s on-island farm.

Guests will also have access to a full range of Four Seasons-managed island activities, including golf, ocean sports, hiking, biking, horseback riding and archery.

The property is Four Seasons’ second on the island, following the opening of Four Seasons Resort Lanai in 2005.

“Four Seasons partnership with Sensei signals our deep understanding of what today’s luxury traveller wants: an exclusive and differentiated wellness travel experience, perfectly pairing Sensei’s evidence-based approach to healthy living with Four Seasons renowned and legendary service,” said Christian Clerc, president of global operations.

“Set against the backdrop of the uniquely breathtaking Lanai landscape, this new offering combines unmatched hospitality, nutritious upscale dining and reputable experts to offer a luxury wellness experience found nowhere else in the world.”

Retreats are now available for booking. All-inclusive packages include accommodation, spa and wellness programming, meals and refreshments, selected island activities and inter-island transfers between Honolulu and Lanai on Lanai Air.
