Explora Journeys unveils Pioneers status for top-performing agents

Luxury cruise line Explora Journeys has unveiled a new Pioneers status for top-performing travel advisors.

The line said its Pioneers initiative recognises and rewards agents who have “embraced the Explora Journeys brand from the start” and have booked at least one sailing for their clients during the line’s inaugural year of operation.

Qualifying agents will automatically receive Pioneers status and will be notified by the Explora Journeys team.

Pioneers and a guest of their choice will be invited to join a complimentary Educational Insider First Look journey between July 17, 2023, and May 31, 2024.

They will also be given access to Explora Journeys’ Travel Advisor Fares for personal travel and will be able to offer their clients a range of incentives, including 10% value savings on the next five journeys booked and departing in 2023; 5% value savings on the next five journeys booked and departing in 2024 and beyond; and a gift from the travel advisor for the next five sailings.

Explora Journeys also provides special referral benefits for engaging with other travel advisors and referring them to Explora journeys, including a bonus commission on all new bookings made by the referred travel advisor in 2023.

Other travel advisor benefits including commissions of up to 18%, no non-commissionable fees, rolling commission payments and up to 10% commission paid on add-ons.

Chief sales officer Chris Austin said: "Our travel advisor community is the heart and soul of our industry, and from day one, we have been bold in creating industry-first initiatives to support not only our success but also theirs.

"We are sincerely grateful to our Pioneers and proud to equip them with the right tools to support the growth of their business and our mutual success.”

The line’s first ship, Explora I, will take its maiden journey on July 17. The ship will depart Southampton for a 15-night journey to the Norwegian fjords and the Arctic Circle, concluding in Copenhagen.
