Etihad Airways adds 20 London flights to meet Easter demand

Etihad Airways is giving Easter an extra boost with additional flights between London and Abu Dhabi.

Frequency in April from Heathrow will rise from three to up to four flights a day to meet peak demand.

The 20 additional return flights will be operated from April 5 by two-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners with299 seats in a two-class configuration.

The increase in capacity coincides with Etihad Holidays offering four night packages in Abu Dhabi starting at £349 per person.

The additional flights will operate in addition to Etihad Airways’ regular three daily Abu Dhabi services, which will continue to be flown by Airbus A380 superjumbos.

The airline’s UK and Ireland general manager James Harrison said: “We are thrilled to announce more flights to London during April, in response to increased demand in the lead up to and post the Easter holidays.

“This is a busy travel time for families looking to enjoy the extended school holiday. This extra service will allow our guests more choice and flexibility with their travel plans.”
