Elegant Resorts has appointed Jon Hardcastle as its new head of agency sales.

Hardcastle joins the luxury travel retailer with 24 years of experience and comes from his previous role as national relationships manager at ITC Luxury Travel, where he developed key relationships with trade and travel agents.

Hardcastle has also served as head of the Pure Luxury Division at Gold Medal Travel, establishing himself as a specialist within the luxury market.

In his new role at Elegant Resorts – which commenced this week - Hardcastle will be responsible for driving the growth of agent trade business alongside the wider Elegant Resorts team.

The brand’s managing director Lisa Fitzell said the “exciting” appointment came at a crucial time for the business.

“It’s perfect timing, as a key component of our strategy is to expand and develop our trade business for 2019 and beyond,” she commented.

“By bringing Jon on board into this new role, we are underpinning our commitment to the trade, which will also be demonstrated via our new white label marketing strategy, incentives, fam trips and luxury events throughout the year.

“We are also launching three brand new brochures; Beach + Beyond, Family Adventures and Luxury by Design, which will all be available to agents.”
