Cunard extends agent ship visit opportunities

Four new ship visits will enable an extra 120 agents to tour Cunard ships before Christmas.

Cunard is also hosting an exclusive visit to new ship Queen Anne for  60 Hays Travel agents on September 22 in Southampton.

The additional dates have been confirmed as part of the line’s ambition, announced in February, to enable more agents to experience its fleet in 2024 than ever before.

Registration is open for the visits, which are all taking place in Southampton. They include a guided tour of suites, cabins and venues, a three-course lunch with wine in the Britannia restaurant, and free time to explore the ship.

Agents can register for a place via the Shine Rewards Club loyalty programme platform.

The new dates are:

  • October 15 – Queen Anne
  • October 21 – Queen Victoria
  •  November 13 – Queen Mary 2
  • December 5 -Queen Victoria

These are in addition to:

  • July 26 – Queen Anne, Greenock
  • August 16 – Queen Mary 2, Southampton
  • September 5 – Queen Mary 2, Greenock
  • September 6 – Queen Mary 2, Liverpool
  • September 8 – Queen Anne, Southampton

Newly-appointed global marketing & UK/EMEA sales vice president David Jones said: “Our 2024 ship visit programme shows we are committed to working with the trade even more closely this year.

“We know that the best way to support our agents in selling Cunard is by offering them the opportunity to experience our magnificent Queens first-hand, to elevate their knowledge when discussing Cunard with their clients.

“Travel agents are central to our success, which is why we are hosting more of our valued agent partners on board this year than ever before.

“This year’s initial round of ship visits received exceptional feedback from the trade, and we can’t wait to welcome more agents on board, to give them a taste of the Cunard sailing experience.”

The line gave 185 agents a tour of Queen Anne as part of last month’s Clia conference in Southampton.
