AmaWaterways is offering a 5% discount on all bookings made by 2023 after seeing “increased demand” from passengers who want to confirm their plans further in advance.

The booking incentive applies to 2024 Europe, Africa, Egypt and Mekong cruises and ends on December 31, 2022, the river line said.

In 2024, AmaWaterways is adding a second ship on the Nile, a new itinerary on the Saône River through the Burgundy region of France and extending the seasons on the Douro, Rhine and Danube rivers.

UK managing director Jamie Loizou said: “With so many once in a lifetime experience within our programme and with increased demand we have seen from travellers desiring a more intimate travel experience, guests are wanting to confirm their travel plans further in advance.

“We have early booking savings of 5% on balcony staterooms and suites when guests book by December 31, 2022.

“They then have the luxury of knowing that their choice of itinerary and stateroom are confirmed, and their final payment is not due until 90 days before departure.”

The line confirmed further details about the launch of two ships on the Magdalena River in Colombia will be released in January 2023.
