The line’s new ship, Ultramarine, has been custom-built for polar exploration
Quark Expeditions, the recognised global leader in polar adventures, is excited for the inaugural voyage of its technologically-advanced polar vessel, Ultramarine.
The 199-passenger ship, which has been custom-built for polar exploration, will be equipped with two twin-engine helicopters, 20 quick-launching Zodiacs, the largest portfolio of off-ship adventure activities in the industry, advanced sustainability systems and superior amenities.
Andrew White, president of Quark Expeditions, said: “Ultramarine is more than just a ship, it will be an unrivalled operational base for polar adventures. Every aspect of Ultramarine has been designed to get guests deep into the polar wilderness better than ever before.
"This new vessel – in the hands of the most experienced team in the industry – will allow us to create truly immersive off-ship adventures for our guests, such as heliskiing, alpine kayaking and flightseeing, while providing them with a superior onboard experience.”
Quark Expeditions has spared no expense or effort in developing its SAFE Covid Policy, which cements the polar operator’s position as the leader in safe travel. “Consequently, there’s never been a better time to visit the Arctic or Antarctic,” White added.
