Move comes ahead of the operator opening a property in Yucatan later this year
Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has opened a destination management company (DMC) in Mexico with offices in Mexico City and Merida.
The DMC has been operational since October 2024 and offers a range of services including tailor-made itineraries, exclusive access to experiences and 24/7, on-the-ground support. It marks A&K’s 36th DMC.
The move comes ahead of the operator opening a property in Yucatan later this year. The yet-to-be-named hotel will offer “luxurious accommodations, exceptional amenities and immersive activities that showcase the region’s vibrant culture and natural beauty”.
A&K also has plans to develop a new project in the destination under its philanthropic arm, Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy, to support local communities.
The DMC’s general manager Graeme Bull said: “Mexico is a country renowned for its rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes and warm hospitality. Our team is eager to leverage our expertise and passion for crafting authentic and unforgettable travel experiences, showcasing the very best of Mexico to our discerning guests.”
A&K’s chief destination officer Rebecca Osman added: “The opening of our Mexico DMC marks a significant milestone in A&K’s ongoing commitment to providing unparalleled travel experiences in The Americas.
“With Graeme’s leadership and the upcoming property in the Yucatan, we are poised to curate even more extraordinary journeys that delve into the heart of Mexico, exceeding the expectations of our valued guests.”
A&K operates a total of 55 offices in more than 30 countries, representing what it claims is the largest network of luxury DMCs in the world.
