The Pig hotels achieve B Corp status

Luxury UK hotel brand The Pig has gained B Corp certification.

The group - whose portfolio includes eight hotels, with three new openings in the pipeline – joins a growing collection of travel and hospitality brands to have received the accreditation.

The comprehensive certification process measures a company’s social and environmental impact, including rigorous scrutiny of business model, operations, structure and work processes.

Chief executive Tom Ross said: “People and planet have always been at the heart of everything we do, ever since we opened the very first Pig in the New Forest 13 years ago.

“We know our main job at The Pigs is to make sure everyone has the most delicious, fun and relaxing time with us – but making responsible, thoughtful decisions to be a force for good is always at the forefront of our minds.

“We’re not saying we’re perfect. We know there’s more to do and we’re committed to help lead the way for the hospitality industry. B Corp isn’t about being the best – it’s about always working to be better. You can be sure we’re up for the challenge.”

The brand will open The Pig-in the Cotswolds this summer, followed by The Pig-on the farm in Stratford-Upon-Avon in 2025 and The Pig-at Groombridge in 2026.

Other travel brands recently awarded B Corp status include Pelorus, AE Expeditions, Journey Mexico, Audley Travel, Inside Travel Group and London-based agency Travel Matters.
