Rosewood to manage Villa Magna in Madrid

Rosewood Hotels will manage iconic Spanish property Hotel Villa Magna in Madrid. 

It will be the brand’s first hotel in Spain and fourth in Europe, and is part of Rosewood’s strategy to expand into prime European locations. 

It has been closed during the pandemic and will reopen on September 1 remaining independent until Rosewood takes over management following a refurbishment which is due to complete in late 2021. It will remain open during the revamp.

The hotel will then become Rosewood Villa Magna.

Located on the Paseo de la Castellana, it will have 150 rooms and suites and a Rosewood spa.

Rosewood already operates Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany; Rosewood London; and Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel in Paris. Additional European properties set to open in the next three years include Rosewood Vienna, which will open in 2022; Rosewood Munich, in 2023; Rosewood Venice in 2023; and Rosewood Hotel, Grosvenor Square in London. The expected opening year for the second London property remains unannounced.
