Regent Seven Seas to host Spotlight Voyage with pro golfer

Regent Seven Seas Cruises will operate a Spotlight Voyage on board Seven Seas Grandeur in June next year, hosted by pro golfer Annika Sörenstam.

The 14-night voyage will depart on June 23 and sail round-trip from Southampton, visiting some of Britain and Ireland’s most famous golfing destinations. Guests will have the opportunity to play on six courses, including Royal Lytham & St Annes in England, Turnberry’s Ailsa in Scotland and The Strand Course at Portstewart Golf Club in Northern Ireland.

The itinerary will also include driving demos on the ship’s top deck, putting practice on its putting green and a meet-and-greet cocktail party with Sörenstam.

The line will also operate a two-night pre-cruise land programme, where guests will stay at The Goodwood Hotel in the South Downs National Park and attend the inaugural RSSC Golf Tournament at The Downs Golf Course.

Andrea DeMarco, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: “At Regent, we continually strive to elevate our guests' experiences, and we're thrilled to welcome Annika Sörenstam aboard Seven Seas Grandeur for our exclusive Spotlight Voyage.

“Annika's legendary status in golf adds an unparalleled dimension to our Spotlight on Golf programme. This collaboration offers golf enthusiasts a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to engage with one of the sport's greatest icons, all while indulging in the epitome of ultra-luxury cruising.”

Sörenstam added: “I am thrilled to host this exclusive Spotlight Voyage with Regent. I can’t wait to bring my family and share my passion and story with fellow golf lovers on board this incredible cruise around some of the most iconic golfing destinations in the world.”

Prices for the Golf Spotlight by Annika Sörenstam start at £11,589 per person, including all onboard food and beverages, gratuities and transfers.
