The south coast of Barbados is set to gain a new premium all-inclusive hotel, O2 Beach Club & Spa, in October.
Formerly known as Ocean Two Resort & Residences, the property has been rebranded and repositioned and will soft launch on October 1. An official opening will follow a month later on November 1.
Located on a 1,000ft-stretch of beach, the hotel features a new modern design, accommodation, a selection of dining options, bars and lounges, upgraded amenities and a new premium all-inclusive concept, which spans food and drink, spa treatments and a selection of resort activities and island adventures.
O2 Beach Club & Spa features 130 rooms and suites divided into three collections: the Club Collection, featuring 18 large ocean view or oceanfront rooms; 42 adult-only Luxury Collection Suites and 72 Concierge Collection Suites.
The Luxury Collection Suites are located in a new nine-storey tower topped by a rooftop pool and fine dining restaurant. They include several swim-up suites that offer direct access to the adult-only river pool from the privacy of their own patios.
Both the Luxury Collection Suites and the Concierge Collection Suites have views of the Caribbean Sea and offer a host of additional inclusions such as a bottle of Champagne on arrival, daily pre-stocked mini bar with wine, personalised concierge service, spa credit per adult per stay, unlimited access to sister hotel the Sea Breeze Beach House during the day, one golf game per person during the months of November to April and unlimited golf play per person during May to October.
Concierge Collection Suites also receive cocktail essentials in the pre-stocked mini-bar, in-room stocked grocery items for the suite’s kitchen on request and a Concierge Ambassador service.
Food and beverage options include a European eatery with 260-degree views of the south coast, a beachside grill, a nautical-themed rooftop tapas restaurant and seven bars and lounges featuring a selection of spirits, wines, champagne and cocktails.
Other facilities include an Acqua Spa, featuring treatments curated around the theme of ‘Wellness Through Water’ and the island’s only Bajan Hammam experience, and a trio of swimming pools, including a rooftop pool, an adult-only river pool with a swim-up bar and a selection of whirlpools on the sun terrace.
Active guests can try water sports such as boogie boards, Hobie cats and windsurfing headed up by Barbados Olympian O’Neal Marshall. On land, activities include mixology classes, steel pan drum playing, salsa dancing, rooftop yoga and cooking classes.
Out of resort, island experiences span catamaran cruises, 4x4 jeep safaris, scuba diving, snorkelling, deep-sea fishing, golf and horseback riding.
“We wanted to bring a taste of the island’s west coast luxury to the south coast and are confident that our new O2 Beach Club & Spa will take centre-stage in Barbados' luxury boutique offering with its exclusive accommodation, world-class dining and personalised service - while at the same time maintaining the fun, casual vibe of the south coast,” said Patricia Affonso-Dass, group general manager of Ocean Hotels Group.
"From the moment they arrive, we want our guests to feel like the newest VIP members of the coolest Beach Club in Barbados.
“We are really looking forward to working with our agent and trade partners to showcase the new premium all-inclusive and luxury five-star experience of the O2 Beach Club & Spa to the UK consumer as well as hosting as many agents as we can so they can experience our new product for themselves.”
Caribtours is offering up to 45% off holidays to the new O2 Beach Club & Spa. Seven nights start from £3,319 per person, based on two adults sharing a Club Room on an All-Inclusive Basis and including return scheduled flights with Virgin Atlantic from London Heathrow and private transfers.
