Montage and Pendry to open eight new hotels by 2027
Montage International, owner of Montage Hotels & Resorts and Pendry Hotels & Resorts, is set to open eight new hotels across both brands by 2027.
The group’s current portfolio comprises 15 properties in the US and Mexico, with seven properties sitting under Montage and eight under Pendry.
Five new openings from Pendry will include Pendry Barbados, the brand’s first international destination since launching in 2014.
The property will be located in St. Peter on the island’s coveted west coast and will feature 74 beachfront guest rooms as well as a private marina, multiple dining concepts, a spa and a kids’ club. The resort is scheduled to open in 2026.
Other new openings under Pendry include countryside manor house Pendry Natirar in New Jersey, less than one hour from New York City, which will open in 2024. The hotel will feature a full-service destination spa, fitness centre, swimming pool, tennis courts and outdoor activities including trail paths for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
As well as Pendry Barbados, the brand will open Pendry Tampa in Tampa Bay and Pendry Punta Mita in Mexico in 2026, with Pendry LaQuinta in California arriving in 2027.
The brand also recently opened its third hotel in Southern California. Pendry Newport Beach (pictured) welcomed its first guests in September, with the opening also marking the debut of The Elwood Club, Pendry’s first private members’ club.
Sister brand Montage has an equally ambitious pipeline, with three hotels set to open over the next three years.
The brand, which was founded alongside Montage International in 2002, will welcome Montage LaQuinta in California next year – on the same site as the upcoming Pendry LaQuinta – as well as Montage Punta Mita in Mexico and Montage Cay in the Bahamas in 2026.
The latter will be the brand’s first in the Bahamas and will be located on Great Abaco Island, a private 53-acre island in the Abacos close to Marsh Harbour.
The resort will feature a 50-suite Montage hotel with a signature spa and a range of culinary offerings as well as a collection of luxury residences and oceanfront homesites to accommodate estate homes. The island will also offer a deepwater marina and seven white-sand beaches.
