Mondrian Shoreditch London opens

Mondrian Shoreditch London has opened on the site of former hotel The Curtain in east London.

Mondrian parent companies Accor and sbe collaborated with The Curtain owner, the Reuben Brothers, and London-based interior design studio Goddard Littlefair to transform and rebrand the property’s 120 rooms and communal spaces.

Mondrian Shoreditch London now features 13 suites, premium dining and mixology concepts, a co-working space and a members' rooftop pool and lounge. The original property’s private members’ club, The Curtain, will also reopen at the hotel on September 1.

New food and beverage options include the first UK outpost from chef Dani Garcia, who was awarded three Michelin stars at his eponymous restaurant in Marbella. His Spanish kitchen, BiBo, on the lower ground floor of the hotel serves tapas with courtyard seats.

Mondrian Shoreditch also hosts a new all-day coffee, cocktail, natural wine and katsu sando bar, Christina’s Shoreditch, which will only source products from local, independent suppliers such as farmers, growers and community bakeries.

Hotel guests will also have access to the exclusive rooftop, Altitude at The Curtain (pictured), for breakfast. The space will otherwise be exclusively for members of the The Curtain.

Mondrian Shoreditch London is the brand’s sixth hotel and a European flagship.

Nightly rates at Mondrian Shoreditch London start from £299 inclusive of VAT and breakfast.
