Capella Hotels and Resorts is set to open its second Taiwan property in 2028.
Capella Kenting will be located on the Hengchun Peninsula, on the country’s western coastline. The resort will comprise 65 villas, each with a private swimming pool, hot spring facilities and 180-degree sea views.
There will also be a farm-to-table dining concept and a spa offering traditional southern Taiwanese wellness treatments.
The hotel’s design is inspired by the region’s indigenous architecture and natural surroundings.
Capella’s president Cristiano Rinaldo said: “Luxury travel today is centred on personalisation and immersive local experiences. Travellers seek journeys that nourish and harmonise the body, mind and soul, making each trip both enriching and unforgettable. Capella Kenting will embody these principles.”
Capella Kenting will mark the brand’s arrival in the south of the country, following the launch of Capella Taipei, which is scheduled to open later this year.
