Windstar improves booking process for agents

Windstar Cruises has invested in technology that allows it to integrate with Revelex, which has become its first booking engine partner.

The partnership with the booking engine platform aims to help agents to book cruises on a global scale, in one online location.

Joe Romans, Revelex sales senior vice-president, said: “Revelex’s Power Agent 5 offers access to a global cruise API, allowing our travel advisor customers greater control of the booking process.

“The Revelex solution is customisable for travel advisors to be able to pull web and private fares, search and book multiple cruise products, apply mark-ups and discounts with a yield management tool, and make post-booking modifications.

“We’re thrilled to add Windstar’s cruise products to our system and ensure an additional, easy pathway for booking.”

Janet Bava, Windstar chief commercial officer, added: “This new integration further cements our commitment to the travel trade industry as we do everything possible to create a trouble-free and streamlined booking process.

“We’ve been searching for and identifying the best and most impactful ways to increase our distribution worldwide, and adding Revelex is an ideal way to expand our global footprint and help make more travel partners aware of the magic that is Windstar and see the broad range of destinations we sail such as the Mediterranean, Tahiti and Caribbean.”

Windstar Cruises has a fleet of six boutique all-suite and sailing yachts, each carrying between 148 to 342 guests.
