Virgin Limited Edition brings forward Majorca hotel opening

A new Virgin Limited Edition hotel in Majorca is to open two months early to allow stays throughout the summer season.

The 26-room Son Bunyola Hotel will start accepting guests from June 15 instead of its original planned debut in August.

The latest property in Sir Richard Branson’s portfolio of luxury hotels is set in the Tramuntana region of the island.

The development includes the restoration of a historic Finca dating back to the 1500s.

The Son Bunyola Hotel joins three stand-alone luxury villas on a 1,000-acre estate positioned on a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Accommodation includes two tower suites with panoramic mountain and sea views – one of which was once a Medieval defence tower dating back to the 13th century.

Mediterranean and tapas restaurants, outdoor dining terraces, a spa and swimming pool are among the facilities.

Rates at the new property start at €600 per room per night on a bed and breakfast basis.
