Uniworld ‘super ship’ to feature in ‘World’s Most Scenic River Journeys’

Uniworld’s ‘super ship’, Bon Voyage, is to feature on Channel 5’s ‘World’s Most Scenic River Journeys’ this week.

The programme, airing at 7pm on Friday, February 4, is the second episode in a 10-part series narrated by Bill Nighy.

The show celebrates the scenery, people and places along France’s Dordogne river.

A segment of the show features Bon Voyage and its interiors, cuisine and team including the captain and head chef.

The programme will also showcase the market town Libourne and the village St Emilion and its wineries.

Bon Voyage sails Uniworld’s Bordeaux itinerary, designed to immerse guests in French culture, art and wine. Activities include a Bordeaux bike tour and an exploration of the Blaye fortress.

Chris Townson, UK managing director of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, said: “TV has proven to be a very powerful medium for showcasing the quality of our product and experience, and we are excited to see this programme come to air. Agents wanting to get a sense of what differentiates our product and of course to see the beauty of the region should take a look, and recommend their clients do the same.

“Our team is on hand with additional assets and collateral to support, and another key selling point is the option of our self-drive packages to France, so travellers can travel to Bordeaux in their own car and bubble, making a feature of the journey at their own pace.”
