Silversea creates sales and revenue role for cruise industry veteran

Ultra-luxury and expedition cruise line Silversea has expanded the role of industry veteran Massimo Brancaleoni, who joined the company in January 2023.

In his newly created role of global sales and revenue senior vice-president, Brancaleoni will continue to report to Silversea president Barbara Muckermann.

He joined the Royal Caribbean Group brand in January 2023 as global sales senior vice-president, moving from Costa Cruises, where his role was worldwide sales senior vice-president.

Brancaleoni has almost 30 years of experience in the global cruise industry, having held executive positions for international organisations in Europe and Asia.

Muckermann said: “Massimo will hone our strategic approach to bolster our position as the industry’s leading luxury travel brand.

“Since joining Silversea in January 2023, Massimo has strengthened our global sales team, contributing to our unprecedented success with his strategic mindset and laser-sharp focus on results.”

Brancaleoni added: “I look forward to building on our successes in 2024 and beyond, optimising the synergy between our global sales and revenue departments for the benefit of our brand and our valued travel advisors and capitalising on the luxury travel market’s growth and potential.”
