Tourism New Zealand launches new trade campaign

Tourism New Zealand has created 26 educational videos for travel agents as part of its latest trade campaign.

The tourist board’s 100% Pure Welcome – 100% Pure New Zealand campaign launches this month with a range of new sales tools, including the videos, to help UK agents sell New Zealand more confidently. 

The videos feature 26 local guides and operators extending their famous kiwi hospitality by saying ‘Good Morning World’ and are showcased on an interactive map on Tourism New Zealand’s travel trade website.

“We are well known for our stunning landscapes, however, anyone who has been to New Zealand knows it’s really our friendly people that make New Zealand special. These videos help illustrate the welcoming spirit Kiwis show our visitors,” said Pip Casey, Tourism New Zealand’s regional manager for UK and Europe. 

“Around 80% of Europeans book their New Zealand holiday through a travel agent, so we view the trade as our most powerful destination advocates.”

The trade campaign, which debuts in the UK today (September 6), coincides with a consumer campaign launching on September 23, which sees 365 Kiwis saying ‘Good Morning World’ on social media every day for a year.
