Tokyo unveils new training modules to boost agents’ knowledge

Tourism Tokyo has added new modules to its e-learning platform to celebrate Japan’s reopening and to encourage visitors to explore beyond the capital city.

The training programme, which launched last year, now offers modules with details about post-Covid recommendations and new activities created through hosting the Olympic and the Paralympic Games in 2020.

The platform also features modules with information about new hotels and food, art, entertainment and architecture attractions.

Agents have the chance to win Japanese wrapping cloths and Tokyo branded goodies if they complete all six training modules by the end of February.

They can sign up to the training here.

Earlier this month, the Tokyo metropolitan government held an agent-focused event to brief the trade about the city’s reopening in London.

Attendees had the chance to meet with accommodation, airline, rail, ground handler and experience providers from Tokyo.
