Sanctuary Baines’ Camp reopens after major refurbishment

Sanctuary Retreats has released the first images of its newly refurbished Sanctuary Baines’ Camp.

The intimate safari lodge, which lies in the Okavango Delta of Botswana, underwent a major remodelling as part of Sanctuary Retreats’ portfolio-wide refurbishment programme.

The luxury safari specialists said one new suite had been added to the five pre-existing stilted, standalone suites, which have all also benefitted from a contemporary redesign.

The deck area of each residence has been extended to include a large shaded area and the retreat’s signature Star Bath, a freestanding Botswana-style zinc bathtub surrounded by lanterns, which is now a permanent fixture of each suite.

An open kitchen and bar have also been added to the boutique camp, as well as a jetty overlooking the Boro river which can be used for private dining.

Sanctuary Retreats has also remodelled camps and lodges in Kenya, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania and Uganda.

Prices at Sanctuary Baines’ Camp start from £525 per person per night based on two people sharing on a minimum four-night stay.
