Rainbow launches new sustainability-focused Africa brochure

Specialist Africa and Latin America operator Rainbow has launched a new Africa brochure that focuses on responsible tourism.

The 136-page brochure, which features refreshed branding, spotlights the operator’s conservation efforts and how it supports the communities visited on its tours.

The brochure also includes a section on ITC’s new partnership with Positive Planet, which advises businesses on their sustainability initiatives. The organisation measures Rainbow’s carbon emissions and is helping the operator develop a reduction strategy on its journey to become net zero.

Also featured are details of the projects Rainbow supports in Africa, including Botswana-based NGO Travel for Impact and Uthando, an organisation raising money for community schemes in South Africa.

Destinations featured in the brochure include Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia, Uganda and Madagascar. For each destination, there’s a selection of recommended itineraries hand-picked by the Rainbow team.

Candice Buchan, head of Rainbow, said: “We’re passionate about sharing our love for the natural world, and this refreshed and rebranded brochure highlights not only our in-depth expertise and experience, but also our commitment to responsible travel, conservation and protection of the places we explore.

“With this brochure, we wanted to make sure our travel agent partners and their clients better understand the positive impact they’ll be having when they choose a holiday with us.”

Agents can order a free copy of the brochure or view a digital version on the Rainbow website.
