Aviation company Flitestar has launched Journeys Collection, offering luxury holidays in Africa, the UK and Europe, using its private aircraft from its global fleet or scheduled carriers.
Journeys Collection is a member of the Travel Trust Association and its holidays are commissionable at 12%.
Neil Baines, chief executive of Flitestar, said: “In the past two years, there has been a significant increase in demand for private travel and customers are seeking intimate experiences, travelling away from the masses, redefining luxury travel.”
He said many clients who would previously fly in business and first class are now upgrading to private jets because of the “health and safety” benefits; “complete control of personal travel”; and the “acknowledgement” of the work that private aviation is doing towards greater sustainability.
Experiences on offer include a tour of London in the Queen Mother’s Daimler after a private viewing of the crown jewels, and a behind-the-scenes visit to a Parisian fashion house.
In Africa, clients can visit Namibia’s remote Skeleton Coast or see lemurs and turtles in Madagascar or learn the art of beading from a Masai in Kenya.
An eight-night private jet tour, Africa’s Mountains of Mist, costs from $35,625 per person based on eight passengers.
