Vessel expected to be delivered in 2032
Crystal has signed a deal with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri for the construction of a third ocean ship.
The vessel, which will likely be delivered in 2032, will join sister ships Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity in the line’s fleet.
The as-yet-unnamed ship will feature all-suite accommodation with private verandas, including a selection of single occupancy cabins, carrying a total of 690 passengers.
There will also be a promenade that extends round the ship’s perimeter, as well as a range of dining venues, including Umi Uma and Beefbar.
The news comes two years after Crystal was acquired by A&K Travel Group in 2022.
Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, the group’s executive chairman, said: “Exercising this option and agreeing to build a third ship together showcases the trust and partnership between my family and Fincantieri, dating back to Sitmar Cruises and evolving through Silversea to our present vision with Crystal.”
A&K’s chief executive, Cristina Levis, added: “We’re pleased to bring an expanded fleet to our guests, offering even more ways to explore the world with the extraordinary service and style synonymous with Crystal.”
