Pan Pacific Group has opened its first property in Europe, Pan Pacific London.
The hotel is housed in a 43-storey tower at One Bishopsgate Plaza, a new public square in Liverpool Street close to shopping destination Spitalfields, the Barbican and Shoreditch.
The hotel offers 237 guest rooms and suites featuring Diptyque amenities, a hot and cold minibar, books and botanical plants. All rooms come complete with yoga mats and on demand virtual yoga sessions, while a ChiliSleep Ooler Sleep Cooling System to aid better sleep is available on request.
A signature Pan Pacific Suite lies on the 19th floor with views of city landmark, The Gherkin.
Dining venues celebrate the flavours of modern Singapore, including signature restaurant Straits Kitchen, which features two private dining spaces and a custom wine cabinet; the Ginger Lily bar and outdoor terrace, which has an extensive champagne list from over 200 houses; and The Orchid Lounge for a fusion afternoon tea of bao, dim sum and choux.
The hotel said it was working closely with British producers, Nurtured in Norfolk, to grow its own Asian ingredients, as well as sourcing local produce to minimise its carbon footprint.
A dedicated wellbeing floor features an infinity pool, 24 hour high performance gym, treatment rooms, relaxation pods, a mindfulness studio, saunas, steam rooms and a lounge with a nutritional menu curated by an in-house nutritionist.
The hotel also houses a large ballroom accommodating up to 400 guests and meeting and event spaces.
The property was designed by international design firm Yabu Pushelberg, with the aim to fuse the colours of south-east Asia with traditional British design.
A selection of private Sky Residence apartments sit above the hotel from level 21 to 41, offering views of the River Thames, Tower Bridge and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Alongside the landscaped plaza runs Devonshire Row, featuring designer shops, a destination restaurant and a cocktail bar.
Lead in opening offer room rates at Pan Pacific London start from £325 per night, room only.
