Marriott International extends partnership with Quintessentially

Marriott International is to extend its partnership with Quintessentially with the launch of a new collection of itineraries in the Middle East and Africa.

The two brands first teamed up last summer to offer a series of luxury road trips across Europe and the US.

During a press briefing on Marriott International’s EMEA region, the brand confirmed a second collection of itineraries will be released next month.

The four new itineraries will be focused on family travel, art and exploration and will be offered across Marriott’s portfolio of luxury hotels in the Middle East and Africa.

“If anything, the pandemic has shown us that there is this continued resilience of the luxury consumer,” said Jenni Benzaquen, senior vice president and managing director of Design Hotels and the EMEA brand portfolio.

“Last summer we saw a market increase in luxury guests wanting to get out and travel, but many were looking for bespoke holidays that were offering a much more private approach.

“So with that in mind, last year we created a partnership with Quintessentially, which is the world's leading luxury concierge service, and together we curated a one of a kind, luxury road trips programme across Europe and the US.

“The programme was super successful, so following that I'm really excited to announce that we're launching a new selection of unique itineraries with Quintessentially next month.”

Marriott also confirmed the signing of the group’s first JW Marriott in Spain.

JW Marriott Madrid will be located in the central Plaza de Canalejas and will feature 139 rooms. It is slated to open in 2022.
