Little Emperors launches independent travel consultant programme

Luxury hotel app Little Emperors will unveil a dedicated programme for independent travel consultants in April in a bid to “reimagine and modernise the role of the travel agent”.

The company offers its members access to preferred rates and exclusive benefits at more than 4,000 hotels globally, using an optimised search engine to provide relevant suggestions to each individual.

Called MyLER, the brand said the new programme would enable agents to “utilise their own network and build a travel business” by equipping them with knowledge, technology and access to exclusive travel perks.

Each MyLER will receive a personal login providing access to both the Little Emperors app and web booking system, allowing them to search hotel availability and book on behalf of clients on the go.

Onboarding to the MyLER programme includes training on how to best use the system to book and pay on behalf of clients and how to market yourself as a MyLER.

The platform also features information on the conferences, trips and virtual training tools available to agents to familiarise themselves with partner hotels. In addition, MyLERs will be invited to travel events and conferences.

Little Emperors said the requirements to become a member were “a lot more accessible than many other programmes”, with streamlined and advanced technology “reducing the friction of the normal ITC role”.

Little Emperors couldn’t confirm which agents had signed up as part of its pre-launch programme but said the initial cohort included “a hairdresser with high-net-worth clients, a travel journalist and a stay-at-home mum who makes most of her bookings in the playground while picking up her kids from school.”

Chief executive Rebecca Masri, who founded the company in 2009, said: “Our program is the first of its kind, allowing our MyLERs to create and build their own network with our full support. Our concept of ITCs has been built on the idea that our MyLERs can use this as a side hustle, so we have ensured that it is as accessible and manageable for those from all walks of life.”

She added that the company was taking a “fresh approach to nurturing an affiliate network of MyLERs”.
