Four Seasons expands across China and the Middle East

Four Seasons opened its newest property, the Four Seasons Hotel Dalian, on March 1 in the city’s Donggang harbour district.

The hotel has 254 guest rooms and suites, as well as six restaurants and bars and an executive club lounge.

The property joins Four Seasons’ growing collection of hotels in China, including the Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou, which opened at the end of 2023, and new projects announced in Hangzhou, Xi’an and Shanghai.

Rainer Stampfer, the group’s president of global operations, hotels and resorts, said: “Four Seasons Hotel Dalian marks our entry into China’s northeast and another milestone in our strategic growth in China and the broader region.”

In another expansion, the brand has also announced the development of a new wellness resort and residences at Triple Bay Amaala.

The property, developed in collaboration with Red Sea Global, will open on Saudi Arabia’s northwestern coast as part of the Amaala regenerative tourism project.

There will be 220 rooms and suites, as well as villas with private pools. The property will also house 26 branded residential villas, offering either bay or sea views.

The hotel will feature six restaurants, meeting spaces, a 27-hole golf course and a spa offering halotherapy and cryotherapy treatments.

Four Seasons’ president of global business development, portfolio management and residential, Bart Carnahan, said: “Our new resort and residences in Amaala at Triple Bay will perfectly complement Four Seasons’ growing collection of properties within the Kingdom’s dynamic destinations, and marks our second collaboration with Red Sea Global.”
