Kerzner International to launch new hotel brand

Kerzner International is set to unveil a new hotel brand this year.

Craig Jeffs, Kerzner’s account director for the UK and Scandinavia, teased the announcement during a webcast with Aspire, saying more details would be unveiled “pre–Arabian Travel Market”, which takes place over May 9-12.

He said: “We’ve got a new brand that’s coming in. I can’t give too much detail, but it is going to be unique, one-of-a-kind properties that offer a multitude of facilities to clients - and that’s all I can say.”

Kerzner recently announced the launch of its first property in the US, One&Only Moonlight Basin in Montana, and will unveil Atlantis The Palm’s long-awaited sister property, Atlantis The Royal, in Q4 this year.

The company is also developing two properties in Greece, One&Only Kea Island and One&Only Aesthesis, the latter of which is slated to open by the start of 2023.

“It’s a big growth plan,” Jeffs said. “One of the things that we wanted to do during the pandemic was still continue with what our end goal is which is to continue offering these amazing experiences to our clients in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.”

Jeffs said 2022 had started “incredibly well” for Kerzner and its brands, which include One&Only, Atlantis Dubai and Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, with the company enjoying its best festive season ever in 2021.

The Maldives is performing exceptionally well, he said, while One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius had its strongest ever first quarter this year.
