Kempinski Hotels doubles footprint in Dubai with two new hotels

Kempinski Hotels has doubled its footprint in Dubai after signing a partnership with Abu Dhabi National Hotels to rebrand two former Address properties.

Kempinski The Boulevard Dubai and Kempinski Central Avenue Dubai, formerly Address Boulevard and Address Dubai Mall respectively, opened on January 1.

Kempinski said the addition of the properties “significantly expands” the brand’s presence in Dubai – one of its best-performing destinations in 2023.

Kempinski The Boulevard Dubai is located in a 72-storey tower in Downtown Dubai, close to attractions including The Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa. The urban resort features 198 rooms and suites and a collection of residences.

Kempinski said it had “elevated” the hotel’s culinary offering, with modern brasserie-style cuisine served in The Living Room, The Kitchen, The Collection Room and The Dining Room, alongside several private dining areas and an open-air terrace.

The property also features a spa, three swimming pools and a kids’ club with an immersive programme of games and learning experiences.

Kempinski Central Avenue Dubai is located steps away from its sister hotel and is connected to The Dubai Mall.

The property is home to 245 rooms and suites, all with a private balcony offering views of Downtown Dubai, the Burj Khalifa and city skyline.

Dining venues offer an array of culinary styles, including modern Middle Eastern cuisine, afternoon tea, and home-style international dining. Guests can also make use of a spa.

“This important milestone marks an enormous step forward for Kempinski and cements our role as one of the dominant luxury hotel brands in the Middle East,” said René Nijhof, chairman of the board of directors at Kempinski S.A.

“As one of the first luxury hotel companies to secure a foothold in the United Arab Emirates in the late 1990s, Kempinski has a well-established reputation for unsurpassed quality and service. Following a record year of performance, we will continue to grow our portfolio across the region in 2024 and beyond.”

Khalid Anib, chief executive of Abu Dhabi National Hotels, added: “We are delighted to see the Kempinski flag flying over two of our most prestigious properties in Dubai. The Kempinski brand is a symbol of excellence that represents the very best of European hospitality. The company’s strong track record and expertise in the region makes it an ideal partner to usher these two hotels into the next era.”

The two new properties join Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates and Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah. In 2025, the brand will also welcome its first standalone private residences, Kempinski Residences The Creek Dubai.
