JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa is “extending an olive branch” to English football fans after Italy beat England on penalties in the European Championship Final.
The property is offering all England fans complimentary upgrades on bookings made by August 15.
To secure their upgrade, guests must quote ‘Italy’s Olive Branch’ upon booking with the hotel directly. Upgrades are subject to availability and apply to any stay throughout 2021.
The resort has also created a special cocktail in its Rose Bar Lounge called the Southgate Spritz, said to be a take on the popular Aperol tipple, in honour of the English football manager, Gareth Southgate.
JW Marriott Venice is located on its own private island, Isola delle Rose, a short boat ride away from St Mark’s Square.
Built in the 1920s as a sanatorium, the property features multiple historic buildings and 266 rooms and suites spread across two separate accommodation experiences - the main hotel building with a rooftop pool and the JW Retreats, a cluster of residences set apart from the main hotel offering private gardens and pools.
The property was recently refurbished to offer a contemporary, minimalist feel.
Nightly rates at JW Marriott Venice start from €450 for a double room.
