Grecotel to unveil series of property upgrades this summer

Grecotel Hotels and Resorts is set to unveil a series of property upgrades, renovations and new openings for the upcoming summer season.

The family-run Greek hotel brand’s flagship resort, Corfu Imperial, will launch a new collection of waterfront villas - each with private pools, gardens and sea decks - as well as several new penthouse suites and family rooms.

An extensive renovation of nearby Eva Palace, also in Corfu, will offer an “enhanced beach experience” with a new Stone Beach Club and a makeover of its rooms and suites to capitalise on its sea views and redesigned terraced gardens.

On the Athens Riviera, a property-wide transformation of Cape Sounio will be completed in May. Once finished, the revamped resort will feature a collection of new villas, five new restaurants and a host of “outstanding” new amenities.

In Crete, Amirandes is set to emerge with a fresh look following a renovation of its design and gastronomy proposal, with new menus and culinary collaborations in the works. Grecotel said the property’s standout Minotaur restaurant, which features original art by Pablo Picasso, will become the resort’s F&B flagship.

Family-focused hotel Marine Palace, also in Crete, is relaunching as a seaside village-style resort, built with traditional neighbourhoods, shops, restaurants and an Aqua Park. Grecotel said the refurbished property had been envisioned as a “Greek summer paradise for families”, with the renovation spanning new rooms and bungalows to feature remodelled family accommodation and new bathrooms with showers.

The resort will also house revamped restaurants and bars highlighting Mediterranean flavours and local Cretan cuisine, plus a new fitness centre and spa for advanced wellness experiences.

In the Peloponnese, luxury boutique resort Mandola Rosa – part of Grecotel Riviera Olympia, a complex that features four resorts – has unveiled 20 reimagined beachfront villas and new themed experiences for families in celebration of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

Grecotel has also confirmed plans to grow its portfolio, which currently features 40 properties across Greece.

The Roc Club will open on the Athens Riviera in May, featuring 35 guest rooms and suites and a panoramic rooftop with a pool and a breakfast restaurant.

Grecotel’s LuxME brand has also expanded following the additions of the renovated Kos Imperial in Kos and the newly completed Costa Botanica in Corfu.

Grecotel will introduce a new F&B venue - Lobsteria Bar Restaurant, serving lobster, seafood and premium wines – at all LuxME properties this summer.
