Emerald Waterways releases details of new Mekong vessel
Images have been released of Emerald Waterways’ first new-build river cruiser to sail on the Mekong River.
The 84-passenger Emerald Harmony will be the first in the fleet to eliminate single-use plastics on-board.
Passengers will be provided with a free metal water bottle to refill from water stations on the ship.
Other initiatives include the use of glass water bottles in cabins, bamboo and paper straws in the restaurant and bar and cabin toiletry miniatures replaced with refillable dispensers.
The vessel, which will sail in Vietnam and Cambodia, features sun and pool decks, a wellness area with spa and a lounge.
A trade booking incentive will see the first 50 agents making a south-east Asia river cruise booking claim a water bottle. Consumers who book before September 20 are being offered a discount of up to £2,250 per couple, plus unlimited free drinks on board Emerald Harmony.
A 19-day itinerary departing on October 5 leads in at £5,195 per person from Hanoi to Siem Reap, including flights, tips and shore excursions.
