Emerald Cruises has added two extra departures to its 2023 Christmas market programme and two more Douro river sailings in the autumn next year.

The line said the decision to add sailings was made to meet increased demand for those products.

The extra festive sailings are the eight-day Christmas Markets on the Rhine voyage, departing on December 16, and the 11-day Christmas Markets on the Danube with Prague on November 21.

Prices for the Christmas Markets on the Rhine sailing on Emerald Sun start from £2,260.

The lead-in price for the Christmas Markets on the Danube with Prague sailing on Emerald Destiny is £2,890. Passengers can visit the Christmas markets of Regensburg and Passau.

Prices for the extra round-trip Secrets of the Douro sailings on November 18 and November 25 start from £2,415. Ports of call include Régua, Pocinho, Pinhão, all Portugal, and Salamanca, Spain.
