Domes Resorts to make debut on Greek island of Milos

Domes Resorts & Reserves will make its debut on the Greek island of Milos later this year as it continues to deliver on ambitious growth plans for 2023.

The adult-only Domes White Coast Milos will be located in a waterfront nature reserve on the island’s northern coast and will feature 30 suites overlooking the Myrtoan Sea. Each suite will have a private infinity pool, uninterrupted sea and sunset views, and access to three sandy beaches.

Domes said the hotel would be architecturally inspired by the destination’s white rock formations and will offer subtle interiors and neutral tones.

The hotel is expected to expand further over the next two years and will eventually encompass 130 suites.

Domes chief executive George Spanos said: “We are immensely excited about our newfound collaboration with Invel Real Estate and Prodea Investments on this first of many more exciting projects to come in the Cyclades Greek Islands.

“Our vision is to evolve this unique asset into the leading private-pool hotel in the Aegean, with the expansion occurring in two phases over the next two years and will reach the total number of 130 suites. This will enable us to strengthen our footprint in the Cyclades, and solidify our alliance with Invel and Prodea.”

The news follows the recent expansion of the group’s flagship property Domes Miramare, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Corfu, which added 69 new rooms and suites, a new spa, pool, gym, restaurant and loft bar.

Sister property Domes Lake Algarve near Vilamoura in southern Portugal is also currently undergoing a renovation and is expected to join Marriott International’s collection of independent hotels, Autograph Collection. The family-friendly hotel will reopen this spring with freshly designed guestrooms and public spaces inspired by the surrounding gardens and lake. A new adult-only pool is also in development.

Domes Resorts and Reserves said it would be announcing a raft of additional new openings “soon”, with upcoming properties expected in Greek destinations including the peninsula of Halkidiki, Mykonos, Santorini and the Athenian Riviera. The brand said it also plans to expand “even further” across Europe.
