Celebrity Ascent to debut in the Caribbean in 2023-24

Celebrity Cruises’ fourth Edge-series ship is to launch in December 2023 with an eastern Caribbean sailing out of Florida.

The 3,260-passenger vessel Celebrity Ascent will operate round-trip sailings in the eastern Caribbean and western Caribbean from Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, every Sunday.

San Juan, Puerto Rico; Tortola, the British Virgin Islands; and Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis feature in Ascent’s eastern Caribbean itineraries.

The western Caribbean sailings on Ascent feature calls to Nassau, in the Bahamas; Cozumel, Mexico; and the Cayman Islands.

Ascent is one of eight Celebrity ships – including two Edge-series vessels, Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond – to operate Caribbean sailings in 2023-24.

Celebrity Apex (pictured) will rotate seven-night eastern and western Caribbean sailings, calling into San Juan, Sint Maarten, St Thomas and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

Celebrity Beyond is sailing nine, 10 and 11-night voyages in the southern Caribbean with overnight stop offs in Aruba.

The ship also offers a six-night cruise to Bimini, Bahamas. The lead-in price for the Bimini, Mexico and Grand Cayman sailing, departing from Fort Lauderdale on January 2, 2024, starts from $899.

Celebrity Silhouette will return to the Bahamas and offer southern Caribbean sailings ranging from four to 11 nights.

Next year, it will return to Scarborough on the island of Tobago for the first time since 2011.

Celebrity Summit will alternate four and five-night western Caribbean sailings, while Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Equinox will operate eight-night eastern Caribbean and six-night western Caribbean cruises.

During Mardi Gras, Celebrity Constellation is offering a 12-night cruise departing from Tampa, Florida, with a double overnight stay in New Orleans before travelling to Honduras, Belize and Cozumel.
