Zannier Hotels’ Le Chalet to reopen with new private-hire retreat

Zannier Hotels’ five-star mountain retreat Le Chalet is set to reopen in Megève, France on December 16 with a new private chalet and reinvented restaurant.

The private chalet will be available for exclusive hire, marking a first for the property and adding to its existing 12 suites. Set across three levels and designed in minimalist style, it will sleep 18 guests across eight bedrooms and feature a large living room with fireplace, a smaller living room with a fully stocked bar, a private spa, kitchen, cinema room, wine cellar and family games room.

Guests will also get a private butler, concierge, housekeeper, chauffeur and chef, plus access to the hotel’s facilities, which include a spa with heated pool, ski rental chalet, bar and restaurant.

Beyond the chalet, existing restaurant La Ferme de Mon Père has undergone a shakeup with chef Benjamin Vakanas introducing a new, vegetable-focused concept. Sharing plates such as leek salad with wakame seaweed and smoked carrot tagine will be served in a lounge-style environment, with Mediterranean, Lebanese and Asian influences for inspiration.

In wider Megève, guests staying will be able to enjoy ski-touring, heli-skiing, electric snow biking, dog-sledding, trekking and bobsleighing, plus a Michelin-starred meal on ‘La Mer de Glace’, offered as an excursion exclusive to the property.

This winter also sees the arrival of a photography exhibition exploring the relationship between Megève and the Rothschilds, who opened the first hotel in the village 100 years ago.
