Belmond introduces collection of European experiences

Belmond has launched a new collection of experiences in Europe designed to help clients reconnect in the wake of the pandemic.

The brand unveiled the first chapter of its new travel series this week, featuring 13 land, rail and yacht experiences on the continent.

Chapter 1: European Escapes includes a tennis weekend at La Residencia in Mallorca with former Spanish tennis star Nicolas Almagro and a behind-the-scenes tour of Venice’s libraries and archives from Belmond’s Cipriani hotel.

Caruso on the Amalfi Coast will offer special-access tours of Pompei, Ercolano and Oplontis this summer, while in October guests will be able to take part in a number of ‘Golden Hour’ workshops with a master jewellery designer.

At Villa San Michele, guests can take a tour of the ateliers and artisans behind Florence’s New Renaissance in a vintage Fiat 1100 Musone; join an ‘Art of Packing’ experience at Louis Vuitton or partake in an after-hours visit to the Zeffirelli museum.

Culinary experiences can be had at Reid’s Palace in Madeira as part of the hotel’s annual Art of Flavours culinary weekend in September, while Tuscany’s Castello di Casole will run a three-day programme of special-access wine tours with wine expert Tom Harrow in October.

The programme also includes a weekend sailing experience at Splendido Mare in Portofino aboard its Anywave sailing boat and a new six-night vintage champagne tour aboard Pioine, A Belmond Boat.

Rail experiences include new journeys to cities including Amsterdam, Brussels and Florence on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and a new menu of five-course dinner experiences by Michel Roux Jr, Raymond Blanc, Ollie Dabbous and Simon Rogan on the British Pullman.
