Avani Hotels and Resorts 'on track' to open seven properties in 2019

Avani Hotels and Resorts is to open seven properties this year as part of an expansion plan designed to cater towards the “millennial-minded”.

The hotel group, which currently operates 24 properties across 15 countries, will also welcome three new countries into its portfolio, including South Korea, Bali and Cambodia.

Avani said it was "on track" to open Avani Central Busan in South Korea; Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok in Thailand; Avani Seminyak in Bali; an Avani-managed hotel in Siem Reap; two Avani Residences in Australia; and Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in 2019.

An additional 15 hotels are also said to be in the pipeline.

The new properties follow the introduction of Avani's upscale arm, Avani+, earlier this year, which launched with the opening of Avani+ Luang Prabang.

The collection also includes Avani+ Samui, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok (pictured) and Avani+ Hua Hin.
