Avalon Waterways set to return to the Nile

Avalon Waterways has confirmed it will return to the Nile next year with a 10-day A Taste of Egypt itinerary.

The line has scheduled an initial 15 departures between September and December next year and the itinerary is set to run through to 2022.

Avalon has not operated in Egypt since 2016, after sales in the region plummeted following terror attacks that targeted tourists and the downing of a Russian passenger aircraft in 2015.

Several lines including AmaWaterways, Uniworld and CroisiEurope have decided to increase capacity on the iconic African waterway in recent months.
