Luxury experiential travel operator andBeyond has launched three limited edition itineraries to celebrate its 30thanniversary.
The company, which operates safari lodges and creates high-end, wildlife-focused itineraries in Africa, South America and Asia, has created three expeditions centred on the work of its conservation partners.
All will run in 2022, and numbers are limited to 12 travellers per trip.
The 10-night Africa’s Greatest Marine Migration Expedition, departing June 7, 2022, focuses on South Africa’s famous Sardine Run, where sharks, whales and huge pods of dolphins chase billions of fish up the Wild Coast. Guided by a microlight, guests will go out in boats to view the most thrilling areas of the feeding frenzy. The trip is hosted by a marine biologist, and there will be the opportunity to scuba dive.
The 9-night Return of the Lion Expedition, departing October 5, 2022, retraces the journey made by a group of lionesses who were relocated from andBeyond’s Phinda reserve to repopulate the Akagera National Park in Rwanda in 2015. Hosted by Phinda’s conservation manager, the trip will include game drives in both destinations and will focus on the challenges facing wildlife today.
The 13-night Impact Journey into South America, departing October 16, 2022, visits Argentina and Chile, and explores how andBeyond’s experts helped their South American conservation partners reintroduce jaguar into the Ibera wetlands. The trip, led by an andBeyond expert, will explore the wildlife of the wetlands, including giant otters and maned wolves, as well as jaguars.
