A&K reveals details of first Latin America riverboat

Abercrombie & Kent has released details of new Peruvian Amazon riverboat Pure Amazon.

The vessel is due to be launched in mid-2025, with pre-registration open now and sales opening in August.

The ship will feature 10 suites and two single cabins designed by A&K Travel Group’s architect Adriana Granato, of the Milan-based architecture and research practice Studio Ibsen, in collaboration with local artisans.

Indoor and outdoor lounges, a dining room, wellness area and gym are among the features.

Expert guides will lead daily excursions into the rainforest with guided nature walks, visits to local villages and the opportunity to support community-led conservation initiatives.

Other activities include kayaking, fishing for piranha on the Samiria River or night excursions to witness nocturnal rainforest creatures.

The riverboat will be featured on A&K’s small group journeys and tailor-made tours, including three- or four-night itineraries, or a combination of both on a seven-night cruise.

Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group chief executive Cristina Levis said: “Our first riverboat in Latin America is an exciting new chapter in A&K’s legacy of luxury expedition cruising.

“With her launch, we invite guests to embark on a transformative journey into the very soul of the Amazon, where unparalleled adventures intertwine with the warm hospitality and exceptional service that define every A&K voyage.”
