Abercrombie & Kent has launched a 24-day world wildlife tour on a private jet.

The Wildlife Safari: Around the World by Private Jet tour runs from February 3-26, 2022, and offers guests a chance to encounter animals in eight destinations – from Japan to Madagascar.

The escorted touring specialist says “iconic” and often critically endangered animals can be seen in their natural habitats on the tour, led by conservation experts.

Animals that could be spotted include lemurs in Madagascar, whale sharks in the Philippines and endangered mountain gorillas as well as the ‘Big Five’ safari animals.

Guests will circle on a chartered private jet between the countries. The tour costs from £125,975 per person.

The luxury tour operator also recently launched a series of Egypt tours in the footsteps of fictional detective Hercule Poirot following news of the release of a new film adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile.

It has seven itineraries on sale in Egypt that visit destinations mentioned in the novels, including a yacht cruise on the world’s longest river.

In 1977, A&K founder Geoffrey Kent was in Aswan, where he encountered the film crew of the 1978 adaptation of Death on the Nile at a dinner party – and he has said that meeting seeded the idea of A&K’s Nile river cruises.

A five-night Classic Nile trip with river cruise costs from £1,795 per person.
