Tourism New Zealand to host virtual fam trip
Tourism New Zealand is inviting UK agents to take part in a four-part virtual fam trip series between September 29 and December 1, 2021.
The virtual trips will be hosted by local tourism operators and will take agents on a series of immersive and educational journeys across New Zealand as if in real time. Experiences will include sea kayaking around Auckland and cruising along Doubtful Sound in Fiordland National Park.
The full virtual fam series is listed below:
September 29: Auckland & Northland Fam Experience
October 20: Rotorua & Hawke’s Bay Fam Experience
November 10: Wairarapa & Akaroa Fam Experience
December 1: Wanaka & Fiordland Fam Experience
Each session will take place on a Wednesday and will start at 12pm UK time.
Agents can sign up to the virtual fam trip here or by visiting traveltrade.newzealand.com.
Attendees only need to sign up once to join the entire series. A recording of each virtual fam trip will be sent to all agents who have signed up automatically, even if they don’t attend the live session.
Those attending will also be able to contribute to the protection of New Zealand's biodiversity.
Tourism New Zealand will plant one native tree along the virtual fam trip itinerary for every 10 live participants.
The trees will then be gifted to a select few agents. The winners will receive a certificate as well as further information on where in New Zealand their tree is being planted.
