The arrangement will enable passengers to “discover and engage” with marine life on cruises and contribute to ORCA’s conservation work by helping to collect sightings data of whales, dolphins and porpoises.

ORCA conservationists will travel on board four voyages in May this year and in 2019, sharing their knowledge of the diversity of marine life.

The charity has championed marine conservation for more than 15 years.

Head of science and conservation Lucy Babey said: “The entire ORCA team are incredibly excited to be working with Silversea Cruises, and this partnership will allow us to reach parts of the world we have never visited.

“This new programme will help us shine a light on some of the most diverse and beautiful marine spaces on the planet, making a significant impact in protecting the wonderful whales, dolphins and porpoises in our oceans.”
